Are you working or studying in the field of performance, dance, visual arts, theater, composition or research… and are you looking for feedback? When was the last time you had the opportunity to exchange with a whole room of people about your creative practice? Are you stuck with something that you’d like to loosen up?
Grab your incubating project idea, open questions, favorite working methods, or almost finished artistic process and join us for Even closer?
On 02 and 03 November we will meet live at kitev (Kultur im Turm e.V.) in Oberhausen to exchange, share and get to know the artistic community in NRW. Together we will create a safe and stimulating environment for feedback and expansion of your work.
Since the spring of 2022, Valerie Wehrens and Lili M. Rampre have been facilitating the monthly online feedback sessions TakeMoreCare for freelance artists and artistic researchers of all disciplines. In March 2023, they once before hosted the live event Wanna come closer?
Meeting in person for two days will give us multiple possibilities of practice exchange and to experiment with forms of feedback and reflection on artistic processes. We will practically test out formats of feedback-scores with creative limitations, performative-somatic sharings and digital forms of practice. We want to share our time and creative resources with each other. These two days' time will give us an opportunity to go deeper and more thoroughly into the details of our practices, related questions, problems, doubts, references, as well as project ideas in all their stages. Wanna come EVEN closer?
~ Participation is free of charge. It is expected that you will join for both days. Let us know in your registration in case you need support with travel costs.
~ For the two days there will be vegetarian/vegan breakfast, lunch and dinner provided.
~ kitev will offer us a working space, and also accommodation. All participants are warmly welcome to stay in the common space in indoor tents or on individual mattresses, which will be provided.
The location is not accessible for wheelchair users. Please contact us to talk about (further) access needs.
~ To register, please send a short text (approx. 3-5 sentences) in which artistic phase you are in at the moment and what motivation you bring into the two days. Please also mention:
- where you are located and whether you would need / want an accommodation
- if you have allergies / dietary needs
- if you have accessibility needs
